About Us

Salt Box Music Company was formed in 2000 and provides interactive, fun, hands on, imaginative educational music programmes for 0-13 year olds. Our classes extend into nurseries, pre-schools, infant schools, and our ever popular group music sessions.

Salt Box Music Company are the early years providers for The Oxford School Of Music.

All music sessions include a wide range of techniques to develop core skills such as rhythm, tempo, pitch, texture, and dynamics, all delivered in a uniquely fun and imaginative way. We use a wide selection of instruments from every corner of the world, and where possible sourced through Fairtrade organisations.

Every session follows a theme for focus, and a structure in order to provide a familiar, comfortable environment in which children can learn and have fun. Salt Box is an independent organisation, retaining full control of educational and creative content to ensure we continue to provide quality services.

Our philosophy is simple! The most important thing is that children have fun with music, the learning follows. A secure environment and stimulating activities, are all designed to encourage children's social development such as confidence building, sharing and listening, and of course, musical skills.
